The Common Garter Snake is a common snake that lives From Alaska to Central America. They are a non-poisonous species of snake. They eat mice, birds and other snakes. During Winter they sleep in large groups underground in burrows. Once it gets warm they will appear in large swarms. They are prayed on by Hawks, Foxs, Coyotes, and Owls. The Common Garter Snake give birth to live young.
