Northern Tamandua
The Northern Tamandua is a nocturnal arborial anteater that is from Southern Mexico to Northern South America. As a arborial anteater it has a prehensile tail that allows it to hang on to tree branches and sharp claws to climb trees and break into arborial ant and termite mounds. It is a mid size anteater and related to the Giant Anteater and the smallest anteater Silky Anteater. It is sometimes seen during the day.
