The Virginia Opossum is North America's only marsupial. It lives in the trees and occasionally comes down to the ground to eat. They have sharp teeth and spend there life eating bugs and worms. They have a trick where they pretend to be dead, this is known as playing "opossum". When they are pretending to be dead they release a bad order that mimics a dead body. Opossums have long tails that allow them to hang upside down. They are called Virginia Opossums, but can be found as far north as Toronto, Ontario and as far south as Florida. These critters are nocturnal and can be one of the most commonly hit by cars in the deep south.
